There will be a silent auction of Z's art (where we will be donating a
portion of the proceeds to a worthy cause to be announced), a potluck,
and an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for those who would like a bit of food and to stay hydrated.
A.A. "Sandy Z" Zvegintzov, age 73, a longtime resident of Jackson, Wyoming died Sunday, October 14, 2012 while hiking in the mountains he loved.
Sandy was born in 1939 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to Alexander and Hannah Woolston Zvegintzov. He moved to Wilson in 1972 where he was the Prosecuting Attorney for Teton County and practiced general law. In the mid 1980s he left the law profession and became a ski instructor, river guide, and accomplished artist.
He loved hiking, nature and in the last few years of his life could be found giving guided tours in Yellowstone and Teton National Parks.
For the last 31 years Sandy Z was active in the valley's recovery community.
He is survived by his 2 sons Nicholas Zvegintzov of Berkeley, California and Mischa Zvegintzov of Del Mar, California and his 2 grandchildren Waylon and Cooper.
Funeral services will be held in approximately 2 months with the exact date to be announced.
