Beth A. (Rees) Barbisan passed away on January 5, 2010 at St. Johns Living Center surrounded by members of the family due to complications of Alzheimer's. Beth Barbisan was born to Beatrice (Bartlett) Rees and John Harry Rees on December 8, 1930 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Beth went to school in Idaho Falls and on October 5, 1951 she married Reno N. Barbisan in Chicago, Ill. Beth and Reno raised 5 children in Idaho Falls, Idaho. During those years the family spent considerable time in the Island Park and Flying B Ranch areas of Idaho. Reno and Beth permanently moved to Star Valley Ranch,Wyoming in 1984. They kept a home in Scottsdale, Arizona enjoying the warm winters in Arizona and the beautiful mild summers of Wyoming. Beth was a loving wife and mother. Some of her happiest times were spent with her children and grandchildren. When possible she loved to watch in their activities such as school programs and sporting events. Beth was very proud of her children. Beth loved decorating and designing her beautiful homes. She had a keen eye for art and enjoyed the artistic talents of those around her. She loved quiet time sitting in the sun with Reno and their little dog, watching wildlife and the natural beauty of their environment or curled up with a good book reading adventure or learning something new. Beth and Reno both found great pleasure in watching and attending baseball games. Beth spoke fondly and frequently of spending time as a young girl in the Jackson, Swan Valley and Salmon areas driving around with her dad. Beth is survived by Reno her husband of 58 years, two sons: Vince Barbisan of Salt Lake City, Utah, David (Susan) Barbisan of Bozeman, Montana three Daughters: Rina (Todd) Hanson of Alvarado, Minnesota, Toni (Michael) Overton of Walterville, Oregon and Jill (Richard) Pampe of Jackson, Wyoming. Beth has 12 grandchildren: Lucretia and Reno Watson, Orrin Hanson, Lorenza and Dominic Barbisan, Ben and Tara Overton, Nolan, Lee and Quinn Barbisan, Nicholas and Cole Pampe. Beth also has 7 great-grand children. Beth is also survived by her sister Ruth Weech of Mt. Vernon, Washington and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Beth is preceded in death by her parents Beatrice Bowman and John Rees, Step-father Jim Bowman, brothers Jack and Harold(Johnny) Rees. Beth will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her. Private services will be held this summer where Beth was happiest; in the mountains and with her loved ones around her.
