Beverly Ann “Bev” Hofmann, born on November 22,1946 in St. Louis Missouri, passed away peacefully

on January 26, 2024, at the age of 77. Bev was a long-term resident at Sage Living where she took her

final breath. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at Sage living, for the years of

love and kindness given to Bev, you all made her days brighter.

Born with an adventurous heart and an artist eye, Bev moved to Jackson in 1973 where she purchased

her home and made a life for herself. As a child having spent many family vacations in Jackson Hole, she

fell in love with the wildlife and beauty of the community and lived there happily for 51 years.

Her professional life started at the Jackson Hole Guide where she worked in typesetting, layouts, and

bookkeeping. Bev then moved to the Valley Bookstore as a bookkeeper and preformed computer work.

In 1981 she started her medical administration career at St. John’s Hospital in the medical records

department as a transcriptionist, she also worked as a medical coder, credentialing specialist advanced

to supervisor than manager. In 1993 Bev was named Director of Medical Records. In January of 2000,

she stepped down from the Director position, but continued working as a manager, coder, and

transcriptionist as well as taking on Special Projects. Bev was a wealth of knowledge, and always willing

to share her experiences, knowledge, and history as appropriate when problem solving issues. Bev was

very respected by the staff and physicians.

Bev had a passion for crafting and her talents did not go unnoticed. She was honored for “Centennial

Needlepoint Artists’ Day” in 1990 during the 100 th Anniversary of Wyoming Statehood. Her work

showcases a chair in the Governors residence and is on view for all to see. Bev shared her love of

jewelry making, needlepointing, and all forms of crafting with fellow residents and staff at Sage Living.

Crafting was Bev’s happy place and brought her joy and fulfillment.
