Charles Jefferson Craig

April 14, 1960 — July 26, 2023

Charles "Chuck" Jefferson Craig, 63, of Casa Grande, AZ, passed away on July 26, 2023 while vacationing in Yellowstone National Park. Born on April 14, 1960, in Hanford, California, Chuck was a talkative and friendly man who loved Jesus and wanted others to come to faith in Him. He had a deep love for his long-time wife, Teresa, and their sons, Lance and the late Trent.

Chuck is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Teresa Lynn (Morton) Craig, and his son, Lance, of Brevard, NC. He was a cherished grandfather (Pops) to Daniel, Micaiah, and Cora Mae Craig. Chuck is also survived by his mother, Faye Taylor, sisters Valerie Navarro (Michael), Veronica Craig, Michelle Kemerer (Hannibal) and brother Mike Craig (Carolyn). He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Craig, father-in-law William (Bill) Morton, mother-in-law Mary Morton, brother Kenny Craig, and beloved son, Trent.

Chuck was a graduate of Meigs County High School in Decatur, TN, and earned his BS from Luther Rice Seminary and his MS from Covington Theological Seminary. Throughout his life, Chuck held various jobs and acquired many skills, but his ministry jobs were the most important to him. He served at various churches over the years in Tennessee and last as an Associate Pastor for Pinal County Cowboy Church in Casa Grande, AZ. He also authored two Christian books, "Mighty Built Man" and "I Hunt."

In his free time, he enjoyed talking to people, mentoring Christian Challenge interns, hunting, traveling, working on cars, and fixing things. He never met a stranger.

A memorial service will be held on August 19, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Pinal County Cowboy Church, located at 18171 Hopi Dr., Casa Grande, AZ. Service will also be available through the church YouTube site. A graveside memorial will take place at a later date at Kingston Memorial Gardens in Kingston, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Yellowstone Forever or directly to the Park Rangers who serve medical needs in the Park, particularly at Old Faithful. Contributions to Pinal County Cowboy Church or Gideons International are also appreciated.

Please join the family in celebrating Chuck's life and honoring his memory. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
