Diane Sweatt, affectionately known as “Trouble,” passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, at the age of 84. Known for her feisty spirit and unwavering love, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
For the last 50 years, Diane made her home in Jackson, Wyoming, where she built a life filled with family, friendships, and community. She dedicated 20 years of her career to the Karl Johnson Foundation, where her hard work and caring nature made a lasting impact on everyone around her.
She is survived by her children: Michele Dennis, Kim Foster, Chris Frank, and Michael Sweatt, as well as her grandson Christopher Sweatt, whom she raised and loved as her own. Diane is also survived by her many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her greatest joy was her family and the meaningful connections she nurtured throughout her life.
Diane loved creating diamond art, spending countless hours turning tiny gems into beautiful designs. In her prime, she bowled with enthusiasm and skill. Her spirited nature earned her the nickname “Trouble,” a playful nod to her bold and lively personality.
A celebration of life will be held at Owen Bircher Park in Wilson, Wyoming on July 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to share stories, laughter, and fond memories as we honor our amazing mother and grandmother. The gathering will be potluck style; please bring a dish to share as we come together to remember her life and legacy.
Diane’s warmth, creativity, and determination touched everyone she met. Her loving spirit lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and in the lasting memories of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
