"Dick" Jennings

June 15, 1958 — November 25, 2010

Richard D. (Dick) Jennings died tragically on Thanksgiving while out cutting down the family Christmas tree. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 15th, 1958 to Mary Flynn and John E. Jennings. Dick grew up in Birmingham Michigan graduating from University of Detroit Jesuit High School. He was as a graduate Boston College School of Management, he earned his MBA from Fordham University. For the last 25 years he has managed family wealth and endowments.

Dick married Lisa Uber in 1994; they have 3 beautiful children, Megan, Emily, and Tommy. They fulfilled their dream of moving to Jackson Hole in 2006 where Dick began Jennings Investment Advisors. He had a great love and commitment to this area. He was a trustee and member of the Rungius Society of the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Teton Pines Wednesday lunch group, Duck's Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, and a Boy Scout Leader. Dick was an avid sportsman, fisherman, skier, and golfer.

In addition to Lisa and the children Dick is survived by his 6 brothers and sisters, John, Muffie, Bitsy, Judy, Bill, and Tom, also by his brothers-in-law Tom and Skip, and sister-in-law Barb, nieces and nephews Sean and Ryan Jennings, Flynn, Patrick, Elizabeth Govern, Bess Quick, Daniel and Amy Uber.

Dick had such a love of life and everything he touched embraced the Jesuit Spirit of Men and Women for Others. So many dear friends from around the world will mourn this loss.

A visitation will be held Monday, November 29th at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church from 5:30 to 7:30 pm and a funeral mass will also be held there at 10:00am Tuesday, November 30th. Donations can be made to the Richard D. Jennings Charitable fund C/O the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole at P.O. Box 574, Jackson, Wyoming 83001 which will be used for all things Wyoming.
