Eva Jepsen

August 2, 1925 — October 20, 2018

Eva was born in Lindsay, Nebraska on August 2nd, 1925 the fourth of the six children (four brothers and one sister) to Danish immigrant parents Karsten and Emma Clausen.

She met her husband, Harvey Jepsen, who was a local softball pitcher and farmer, and they were married on October 10th, 1948. They had one child, a son, Bill Jepsen who retired in Jackson and now lives in Rigby ID.

Harvey and Eva lived on and worked their farm in Platte County, NE. raising "row crops" on about 200 acres, with an average of 50 to 60 Herford cattle and 1100 hogs raised and sold each year. They sold the tilled farm land in 1979, bought a motor home and traveled the U.S. before selling the property with the house, buildings and farm machinery. They then moved to Jackson, WY in 1981 but spent their winters in Mesa AZ.

Eva worked for several years as a retail sales associate for the Ranch Shops, which was located on the Town Square.  She also volunteered at St John's Hospital and was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2001.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband Harvey and three of her four brothers.

She is survived by her son Bill of Rigby, ID and Granddaughter Stephanie of Fredericksburg, TX sister Alta and brother Melvin.

Funeral services were held on Oct 26th, 2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Jackson, WY. with Reverend David Bott officiating. Eva was laid to rest at Aspen Hills Cemetery alongside her husband Harvey who passed away in 1993.
