Mary Linn Ording was born on August 10, 1939, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and raised in Houston Texas. Her family was in the oil business. She graduated from Lamar High School in Houston and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Mary Linn died peacefully at her home in Wilson, Wyoming on September 21, 2024. Mary Linn was adventurous. After graduating from TCU, she became a licensed pilot and piloted her own airplane throughout the Southwest. She met her future husband, Bill, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. They were married soon after and remained so for 60 years. Her adventures continued. With her husband she lived in the New Mexico desert, on the North Sea in England, in Berlin, Germany, on the shore of Lake Michigan, in Marin County, California, before finally settling in Wilson, Wyoming. She found time to own horses and compete in Dressage. She is the mother of and grandmother to three children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services and burial will take place at the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado.
Mary Linn would be pleased if donations were made to the Mary Linn Wecker Memorial Fund for Musicians of the Grand Teton Music Festival.
