Michael Sullivan

January 29, 1953 — May 10, 2015

Michael Dennis (Brashler) Sullivan

1/29/1953-5/10/2015

Michael passed peacefully in his sleep on Mother’s Day to go join his Mom, Babs, and his daughter, Heidi, in Heaven.   Mike was an adventurer and traveled throughout the United States working as a supervisor for Skanska Construction.  He was in Jackson Hole, Wyoming when he left us.

Mike spent his days and nights next to his soulmate, fiancé and love of his life, Kathy Bush.  Mike and Kathy did everything together, even working on the same jobs.  Mike loved taking Kathy on spur of the moment trips and surprising her with off the wall experiences.

Mike graduated from Ellensburg High in 1971 and joined the Air Force.  He married Debbie Fewkes (Sauby) and had 4 beautiful children.  Through the years he owned his own trucking company hauling Kittitas Valley hay to many destinations; he worked in Alaska building ice roads across the Bering Sea and in the mines.  In recent years he returned to the lower 48 working in Utah, Arizona, Colorado & Wyoming as a supervisor for construction companies.

Mike and Kathy bought a home last year in Palm Springs, CA and planned to spend their retirement there.

Mike was preceded in death by his mom, Barbara Brashler, his step-dad, Ken Brashler, his beautiful daughter Heidi Sullivan.

Mike is survived by his fiancé, Kathy Bush; grandmother, Dorothy Merchant; brother Kenneth (Corky) Brashler (Krysta) of Ellensburg, WA; sister Dana (Brashler) Brown (Russell) of Shepherdsville, KY; sons, Micah Sullivan (Joy) of Mission Viejo, CA, Aaron Sullivan of Moses Lake, WA and Isaac Sullivan (Megan) of Eugene OR, stepchildren Jeffrey Bailey, Fairbanks, AK, Kendra Bailey, Palm Springs, CA, & Joshua Bailey, Fairbanks, AK, grandchildren Autumn Sullivan (Micah & Joy), Makenna & Hudson Sullivan (Aaron), Sierra & Bryce (Isaac & Megan), Jax Danger Bailey (Jeffrey), Cierra, Bray & Axton (Kendra), nephews Zachary & Caleb Brashler, Russ & Ian Brown, nieces Jill Brashler, Whitney, Cheyenne & Madeline Brown, numerous aunts, uncles and other extended family .

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Kittitas County Fairgrounds Naneum Room in Ellensburg, WA at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers or gifts donations would be appreciated due to the unexpected and untimely death of Mike.
