Olive (Ollie) Hudnall passed away at the age of 86 at St. John's Living Center in Jackson, Wyoming on November 19, 2008. She was born December 29, 1921 in Cattaraugus County in New York State to the late Samuel and Margaret Nix Glasspoole. She grew up in a farming community in southern New York State until 1939 when the family moved to Ohio. She attended Millersport High School in Ohio for her senior year and graduated in 1940. Her work included operating Glasspoole's Red and White Grocery in Thurston, Ohio; building airplanes at Curtis Wright during WWII; various custodial jobs; and making Craftsman hand saws. In 1952 she met Frederick Hudnall. After a three month courtship they were married May 30, 1952 in Thornville, Ohio. She was a member of Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church in Jackson. Prior to that she was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Thornville, Ohio from 1952 until 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Marion of Jackson, Wyoming; one granddaughter, Ericka, also of Jackson. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Juanita (Guy) MacKay of Orlando, Florida and Bonnie (Mart) Glasspoole of Thurston, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, William (Angie) Phillips of Junction City, Ohio and Donald Hudnall of St. Petersburg, Florida, and many nieces, nephews, and long-time friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 24 years Frederick (Fritz), ; her eight brothers and their respective wives; Lavergne (Katherine Baun), Paul (Alice), Guy, Myron (Stella), Lee (Ruby Snyder), William, Frank (Elizabeth) and Mart; her five sisters and their respective husbands; Zelda (Guy D'Ingillo), Arvella, Cecelia (Henry Baun), Angie, and Delia (William Cost); two brothers-in-law; Forrest Jones and Patrick Loughman; and three sisters-in-law; Ethel Hudnall Jones, Doris Hudnall Loughman, and Mary Alice Chambers Hudnall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Echoing Hills, 36272 County Road 79, Warsaw, Ohio 43844. Valley Mortuary of Jackson, Wyoming, and Bope-Thomas Funeral Home of Somerset, Ohio are in charge of arrangements. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Monday, November 24, 2008 at Grace Lutheran Church in Thornville, Ohio. Viewing will be from 10-11 am before the service. Burial will follow at Zion Ridge Cemetery, Thornville, Ohio.
