Salt Lake City

Peggy Jensen, 86, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Mountain Point Medical Center in Lehi, UT
surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by
family and friends.

Born in 1936 in Jackson, WY to George and Roma Walker. Attended Jackson Hole High School and Ricks
College in Rexburg, ID. Peggy married Gervase Jensen, her lifetime companion, in 1955 in Jackson, WY.
Peggy was a “Jill of all Trades” and wore many hats throughout her working career: a telephone operator,
worked at the Coca Cola Factory in Cheyenne, WY, legal secretary, trail cook for Bar T5, USPS mail carrier,
and well known for her cake business “Peggy’s - A Piece of Cake”.

Peggy lived her faith everyday – she was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
where she served in numerous positions: Primary President, Relief Society Counselor, Young Women’s
Program, a Stake Camp Director for 16 years, and the Boy Scouting Program where she was awarded the Boy
Scout Silver Beaver Award, for her years of service to the Jackson, WY community.
Peggy loved family, adventure and traveling. While raising her family they enjoyed horseback riding, camping
and snowmobiling. After retirement, she loved Geocaching and traveling to see her
children/grandchildren/nieces and nephews. She was able to travel to Alaska, Australia, Peru and Churchill,
Manitoba Bay, Canada. She was proud of fulfilling her “Bucket List” by climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania at the young age of
75 and visiting all the National Parks in the lower 48 states.

She is survived by her three children: Jerry (Laura) Jensen, Eagle Mountain, UT; Gervenna (Duane) Sauer,
Shevlin, MN and Geneva (Kelvin) Dagit, Rapid City, SD. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Melissa
Henry, Tiffany Horrocks, Blake Jensen, Misty Jensen, Derek Jensen, Whitney McDonald, Hillary Merrill and
Bridger Jensen, along with 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and her sisters-in-law: Dalleen
Robertson, Patrea Kreigh, Tanny (Orley) Pitt, Owenna (Tony) Cassan, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gervase Jensen and her parents George and Roma Walker,
along with her siblings: Bryle Walker, Gene Walker, Morris Walker, Kitty Rich and LaMarr Walker.
