Robert Knori

July 28, 1961 — June 14, 2014

A celebration of the life of long time Jackson native Bob Knori will take place on Sunday, June 22 at 11 a.m. at the Knori Ranch, 725 West Sagebrush Drive.

Robert "Bob" E. Knori, age 52 died suddenly following an accident on June 14th. Bob was the youngest of three brothers and the son of Dail and Rollie Knori. Born in Jackson, Wyoming on July 28th, 1961. Bob was a 5th generation Jackson native. Bob was happily married to his soul mate, Gretchen Schmid Knori, for over 12 years. Bob is survived by his two children Jesse (age 20) and Wells (age 17) and brothers Michael and Richard. Bob excelled at Jackson Hole High School and Casper Community College in basketball and was all conference. Singled out by his high school coach Hoagland for his slick passing at 6" 3'. Often during games Bob would signal the onslaught of his battle cry "Big Mac Attack". He was cherished for unselfish giving of the ball to any open teammate. As team co-captain, Bob lead the Broncs to many victories. Bob graduated from Jackson Hole High School in 1979 and went on to work for many local construction companies. Bob was always eager to help others. He often enjoyed helping during ranch round-up and branding. He was an active volunteer member of the Teton County Fair for many years, and his favorite event, which he organized was Pig Wrestling. He often volunteered at the Jackson Hole Hill Climb and enjoyed fishing, golfing, snowmobiling and horseback riding around the valley. Bob will always be remembered for his sparkly blue eyes, welcoming smiling, and his truly giving spirit to others.
